Sorry about replying here instead of your individual user pages. (Long day, and I need to fix supper.) If there's a clever way to do both at once (which I'm sure there is), I'll try and get that figured out soon...

  • Dave, you rock. Did my flattery work? Sysop and bureaucrat me, man! -67.170.178.252 07:54, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Okay, everybody just calm down and quit mocking me. I'm all logged in now. -Pete Forsyth 07:55, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Pete. You're now a co-Bureaucrat and co-Sysop.

  • Hi Dave, thanks for setting this up! Sysop/bureaucrat please. :-)
  • Also I think it would be great to enable pretty urls without the index.php part.
  • Also, please stick with pdx.wiki.org/ArticleName rather than pdx.wiki.org/wiki/ArticleName despite what the article says (happy to discuss further if you disagree). Brandon CS Sanders 17:29, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Brandon. You're also now a co-Bureaucrat and co-Sysop.
Although I've installed several MediaWiki instances over the past half-decade or so, I'm brand new as an active Sysop. Therefore if you can provide links to tutorials showing how to fulfill your other suggestions, that might save me a bit of time.

Thanks, Pete!

Pretty URLS

Start here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Wiki_in_site_root_directory

If you need help after trying what is in that page, I can be of assistance. - Brandon CS Sanders 18:58, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Another request

Dave -- how do I go about getting PHPmyAdmin and FTP access? I'd like to get an image up, play with the nav. links, etc. -Pete Forsyth 9 August 2008

Also -- can you enable email on your account, or send me an email? I don't know any way to get in touch with you besides this page. -Pete Forsyth

By the way...
