[edit] Intro: Federal/State comparison
I have an idea for an intro. It could start out with a scene where an important use of federal works is performed. Then it cuts to a scene where an equivalent, but state-level action is performed, but interrupted because that action happens to be illegal due to Oregon copyright. For example, someone making a copy of the constitution (except I believe the Oregon Constitution isn't copyrighted, so that wouldn't work). Anyone know of any examples? -kotra 01:38, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I know the National Atlas's congressional district maps are in the public domain, but the state legislative district maps in the Oregon Blue Book are not. How about a scene showing the congressional district maps, just to demonstrate that we can do it, and then we say we can't include Oregon's legislative district maps in our video without first asking Kate Brown for permission? — Athelwulf [T]/[C]\[W] 05:12, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
